Ron is the founder of Shorebreak Finance.

A fun fact to get to know our founder better - the name Shorebreak has a dual meaning for Ron. Firstly, he has a strong connection to the ocean - from a young age he worked with his family who were and still are commercial fishers in the local area. The second facet behind the name is his wife Rachel is an equestrian, and her most special horse as a child was named Broughton Shorebreak.

Coming from a large family with a business that everyone was involved in has given Ron a formidable work ethic, paired with a strong focus on building wealth through real estate investment and home ownership.

Straight out of school Ron embarked on a career in retail operations, building to an executive leadership position with a leading supermarket. Always up for a challenge and with a keen interest in finance and numbers, during this time he completed a Bachelor of Accounting at Charles Sturt University.

He purchased his first property at age 19 and over the past 15 years has grown that into a multi million dollar portfolio through considered investment and development decisions, local knowledge, and leveraging existing assets to grow his portfolio through smart lending solutions.

With extensive practical experience on the other side of the table (and being privy to the pain points of the customer), Ron made the decision to leave his corporate role and forge a career in helping others with the often daunting process of financing. Ron loves helping a diverse range of people - from first home buyers who are keen to learn the ropes, to experienced and savvy professionals who want to leverage their current assets.
